Age of Conan is an amazing game. The graphics are beautiful to look at, and traveling through the world created by Howard is something anyone can appreciate. When the game came out in 2008 I knew I would play nothing else, but I did. My computer simply couldn't handle the game.
When I upgraded my computer I was happy to play, and did so for a year straight, taking a little break (2 months) and finally coming back. When I arrived back there had been a huge decrease in population (most likely due to SWTOR). It led me to thinking...
If the game played like it does now in 2008 when it first came out, the player base would be much different. It would be huge for one thing. But past mistakes drove people away, to get into other games. If they are anything like me they get into a game and stick with it. I would love to see people embrace AoC once more, to fully appreciate and attain what is needed to succeed. If that was the case, I would have a better chance at reaching some of the goals I have for the game, something I can't do right now.
My message with this now, is remaining players of Age of Conan should help do a little promotion. I try to get people to come over, many find it hard, or can't handle the pvp (maybe I should send them to Set). Either way, it would be nice to see some people have a better attitude toward the game itself, even if you are not happy with the people making all the decisions within the game.
Maybe then, funcom will consider making new mini game maps.

AI District ban
Age of Conan AI run. A lot of has played it in order to gain legs for our toons, rare tokens, guild renown and mastery.
When we come to the first boss there was a straight where a conq would break from group, stay on the third step and res while the rest of the team. It is something that funcom banned some 30 players for doing.
I made a post about it on Age of Conan forums, a place to discuss various subjects involving game play. I thought it would be a good idea to warn other players that they may be banned for trying the strat out. I voiced my opinion that instead of banning people, they should first maybe inform them that strat was considered an exploit and shouldn't be done.
The ban lasts for some 7 days.
Funcom hasn't gotten a hold of anyone that was banned.
I think a big focus for funcom would be simply to work on customer service. These people pay your bills by being a subscriber to the game. There should have been a warning, or even better, fix the problem.
qq is done.
Here is the real strat for ai district: http://cynarablog.wordpress.com/2011/12/21/ai-district/
Now that we know we can't use that initial method, we should instead work on what works, and from what is described it seems faster and easier anyway.
